How could I resist?

That sweet little voice as she climbed on the couch next to me and asked, "Can I knit with you Mom?"

She was knitting a scarf (just in case you couldn't tell from the picture...) and she wanted to "do it myself"!

I couldn't be prouder, I'll have her whipping out socks by the time she's 5.

I have been crafting...

...but I just can't share any of it yet, because they are all presents for different people and occasions... well, that and I have been knitting. No I didn't follow doctors orders and wait a week. Don't look at me like that, I had to take the brace off when it was just me and the kiddos. So since it was off anyway... I am feeling a lot better though. My thumb and wrist aches a little at night or when I stretch my thumb a lot. Oh, here is what I am trying desperately to finish before next week.

It is a quilt that we started when my friend Dinee was pregnant with her first baby, who will turn 2 next week. (Yeah, I know... you don't have to say it.) And baby girl #2 will hopefully be making her appearance next week too. So I am going to finish it in time for Libby's birthday. The good news is that it will match the girl's bedroom still. Wish me luck!

Another Giveaway!

This giveaway is over on my friend Kristine's blog, Saying it Simply. She and her sister, Kourtney, have a great home based business where they make custom home decor and signs. And her latest creation are these adorable clutches made from hard back books. You can see the ones she has already made at her etsy shop, or they will do a custom order with a book of your choice. And she is doing a give away for a custom order right now! The hardest part is choosing which book I would want made!

Winner!

So we picked a winner with highly advanced method to make sure everyone had an equal chance to win, I wrote all your names on little slips of paper and let Evie pick one. And the winner is... SUSAN!!! (And that should prove it was all above board since I didn't cheat and pick the person with the smallest foot!) For those who didn't win, well... now I have your measurements and there is always Christmas... Congratulations to Susan, I'm know from reading your comment that these socks will definitely be appreciated. Now to get knitting.
